IM Vijayan becomes a Coach

Former Indian captain and legend, IM Vijayan began his managerial career after filling up the vacant position at Southern Samity, a CFL Premier Division club. Vijayan, who recently acquired a coaching license from the AFC, signed a one-year contract with the club.

The three-time Indian Player of the Year was excited at the chance to start his coaching career in the hub of football, Kolkata. Vijayan holds a level ‘B’ license having recently passed the AIFF test.

Vijayan is looking forward to a successful stint with the club as well as acquire his ‘A’ license soon. He has also set his sights on an ‘Assistant Manager’ post with the national team before he finishes.
