Most entertaining matches of 2010 World Cup

2. Paraguay 0 Spain 1:

Three penalties and none changing the course of the game was the rare occasion when Spain met Paraguay in the quarter-final. Paraguay’s Valdez had a goal wrongly disallowed in the first-half citing offside. But they had the chance to take the lead in the second part. Captain Casillas very rarely called upon, came to the rescue of Spain saving Oscar Cordoza’s penalty. Tables turned almost immediately as Alonso stood to take a penalty awarded to Spain. He scored but was made to retake. He missed the second time. But Spain have many game changers and it was Iniesta and Villa who played the part in the winner.
